Tommiguard Twin Reins
Tommiguard Twin Reins
These Twin Reins are a specially designed safety harnesses for twins and will give you the peace of mind you need when out and about with your twin toddlers. Instead of buying two sets of walking reins, here is one Twin Set that will cover all your needs!
How it Works : The Belt to Harness Twin Reins consists of a harness that sits on the upper torso between the underarm and the waist. This is recommended by Health Professionals because it is one of the strongest places on a toddler's body. It is not safe when a harness is placed at the waist on a young child. When children are older and extremely steady on their feet you can use a harness or belt at the waist.
The harness is designed to comfortably fit most children from around 12 months to 3-4 years old. This is the time when parents seem to need a harness the most. Please Note: Your children should be walking steady on their feet before you use these reins. These twins reins are unique because they were especially designed to be safer than conventional reins and to prevent the leads from getting tangled up when used with twins or multiple children.
In the Twin Pack :
You get 2 Detachable Handles included for each tether to convert them to "Leash" style leads. You can separate the two tethers so they can be used independently as single reins. Swivel D Hooks at each end of the tethers virtually eliminate tangling. There is one adult belt in the Twin Pack to which the two tethers can be attached making you completely hands-free! This allows you the option to push a buggy or carry shopping bags and it can also prove especially useful when putting one child in the car, you will always know that the other is safe and cannot run off into the road.
The leads are longer than on single reins, leaving the children with more freedom and this is also useful for taller parents, especially dads, who find conventional single reins too short.
Parents with special needs children have found the walking reins useful for older children up to 5/6 years old as the leads can be 'hidden' under outdoor coats yet still long enough for the parent to hold them, thereby allowing their children the freedom they desire without anyone knowing they are on reins and at the same time keeping them safe.
Also available as Triple Reins for triplets (Black only) - ideal for twins and another toddler, three toddlers as well as triplets. Great for childminders, children's centres and nurseries too!

"What a life-saver ! I struggled getting out and about with my toddler twins until I bought these twin reins - what a difference - they are longer than single reins so the twins feel more independent but I still have control and the parent belt is great when you have both hands full of shopping ! I have recommended these to all my friends with twins too ! Denise R. - Devon
Hi Delyth. My twin reins arrived today...thank you for the super fast delivery. Dealing with you and your site has been a absolute pleasure. I look forward to visiting your site on a regular basis for inspiration and information! Thanks again Delyth and I will spread the word about these reins...I will be a walking advertisement I am sure!! Danielle Murrihy - Australia

I wouldnt normally have left buying something like that so late - but I had ordered reins from a different company as they said they said they had the reins in Moss green which is the colour I had originally wanted. They actually sent Khaki and when I queried it they said they just sent the only colour they had - they didnt take the time to ask me if that would be acceptable (which it wasnt) and now I have the hassle of sending them back and trying to get my money back. Sorry to ramble - what I wanted to say was how nice it is to deal with a company who provides great customer service rather than second best - so thank you!! With many thanks once again. I'm Claire. i have twin girls who are 20mths. before now i have always used my pushchair when we go out. and on occasions used normal conventional reins. (what a nightmare. could do with another pair of hands). They have just started to climb out of the pushchair. so I thought we would give this test ago. We were asked to test some reins. when they arrived I thought. they were very strange looking and that they would never work. how wrong I could be. they are excellent. our first trip was to the local shop. the girls got there coats on and couldn't wait to stand there to have there pink straps on. then they got attached by leads to me and we were off. Morgan loved it walked better than ever practically running. Sammy-Jo walked beside me. but whats best I still had both hands free. you can use the leads separate if you want which we do now.
We now use the reins wherever we go even their daddy uses them (miracle). he did not enjoy the other reins because there were to short(he is 6ft plus) but loves these. very similar to wrist straps i suppose just with arm straps. very secure and more comfortable because of the design. my only suggestion would be to have adjustable arm straps for the smaller walkers. As a rating i would give them 8/10 excellent and would certainly buy a pair. Tamba Tested
"As a parent of twins. I realise that I often make different choices for my twins than I would if I only had a singleton. Using reins is one of those decisions. I can remember using them at a crowded outdoor fair and once in an airport when a stroller was impractical. I have to admit that I was a bit uncomfortable with the way we looked. But. as Tommiguards By My Side's Mary Dempsey Baker says. "Who cares what everyone else thinks when it comes to your child's safety!"
Channel 4 Supernanny : Stuart and Sarah Bates had two lovely boys and dreamt of a girl to complete their brood. When identical twin terrors Erin and Orla arrived. they turned the family upside down. The twins run off when they are out with their family. Supernanny suggests that they are put in reins on their walks to school.
Thank you so much for my tommiguard twin reins. So far they have proved to be very useful and my girls are not too distressed by them! Best Regards Nita Klein - Tamba Promotions Co-ordinator
