TwinsUK - New Business of the Year Award 2008

At a glittering celebration of business achievements organised by the Wansbeck Business Forum, TwinsUK were announced winners of the Rio Tinto Alcan Wansbeck Business Awards for the Best New Business of 2008.

The event was attended by 400 guests and all of the TwinsUK staff were there to celebrate their second business award success, after their founder, Delyth Raffell, won the North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year in 2007 (Best Newcomer).

TwinsUK relocated to Wansbeck in March 2008 and have not looked back. Support from Go Wansbeck, Business Link and the Wansbeck Business Forum have helped TwinsUK achieve their aim to expand the business which has gone from strength to strength.

Celebrating their 3rd birthday this month, TwinsUK have launched a brand new website which incorporates a new Resource Centre giving access to a host of information all relevant for twins, triplets and higher order multiples. There is also a revamped 'shop'  which has some new departments and lots of exciting new products too!

One of areas TwinsUK has focused on in the last year is Special Needs and we now have a department dedicated for this that offers special needs pushchairs, travel and feeding accessories. We are immensly pleased to finally be able to announce the launch of the long awaited double pushchair for children from birth to 7 years old, where one or both have a special need - we are proud to have worked on this development  that will help so many parents and carers who struggle to get out and about with their children and which is the ONLY one in the WORLD!
