GET READY FOR MULTIPLES (launch 28th June)


Are you a new or expectant parent of multiple births? Are you wondering how to prepare for the birth, or how to cope with twins or more? 

Then check out Tamba’s brand new initiative, ‘GET READY FOR MULTIPLES!’, which launches as part of Twins, Triplets and More Awareness Week (28 June – 4 July).
 
GET READY FOR MULTIPLES has been carefully designed and trialled to empower families and their health professionals and give them the know-how to really enjoy having a multiple birth. It includes:
 
•        FREE and subsidised courses around the UK, including 
the pre-natal Practical Preparing for Parenthood Survival Classes with Dr Carol Cooper, and day-long Multiple Pregnancy Antenatal Courses;
•        A FREE practical guide for mothers who are finding life hard following the birth of their babies, and may have Post Natal Depression;
•        The freephone Twinline - 0800 138 0509 - which offers information and emotional support for parents and professionals;
•        Local support from Twins & Triplets clubs.
 
Parents of multiple births who have attended antenatal courses report that it has positively impacted on their early parenting experience. The number of mothers who go on to develop Post Natal Depression is also significantly reduced.
